A dedicated space for young artists at Just Makers.

Each month, we feature a different young artist in our downstairs gallery in Craven Court, Skipton, giving them the opportunity to exhibit their work and introduce it to a wider audience.

This is a chance for visitors to discover new and upcoming talent, learn about the artist behind the work and support them early in their creative journey.

Visit us to explore this month’s display.

This Month's Young Artist

A smiling young man holds a calendar in front of a real outdoor setting with York buildings and a grassy lawn. The printed item shows the title 'York' and 'by Isaac Savage' plus a large faded '2027' overlay and a brick sign reading 'Probably Bile Beans.

Isaac Savage Photography

Our first featured young artist is Isaac, a 15-year-old photographer from York with an eye for unusual angles, overlooked details and interesting light.

Isaac saved up for his first digital camera at just 11 and has been taking photographs since November 2021. His work explores the mix of historic and modern York, finding fresh perspectives on familiar streets and buildings.

Often heading out at the crack of dawn, he captures the city as it wakes up, revealing details that can go unnoticed during the bustle of the day.

We’re delighted to welcome Isaac’s photography to our dedicated Young Artist Spotlight space in the downstairs gallery at Just Makers, Craven Court, Skipton.

Follow his photography and watch behind-the-scenes videos on Instagram @snapshots.by.isaac and Facebook Snapshots By Isaac.
