Authentic Handmade Craft
At Just Makers, we curate only the highest-quality handmade craft from Yorkshire and beyond. Every product you see has been carefully selected to meet our standards of craftsmanship, quality, authenticity and sustainability.

Handmade Originals

  • Each piece is hand-crafted by skilled artisans using high-quality, ethically sourced materials.

  • We do not use plastic or synthetic materials unless essential for functionality, and even then only where sustainable alternatives are not feasible.

  • We avoid any product made from mass-purchased, imported or copied designs.

  • Every item is unique, with its own story, from initial inspiration to technique.

Reproductions & Inspired Products

  • Some items, such as prints, cards, mugs and magnets, are reproductions of original handmade artworks.

  • Reproductions are carefully produced to preserve the detail and quality of the original and must meet our sustainability standards.

  • Buying these items supports the artisan and their craft.

How to Identify Products

  • Products are clearly labelled as either ‘Original Handmade’ or ‘Inspired Reproduction’.

  • This ensures you know exactly what you’re buying and how it aligns with our quality and sustainability standards.

Part 2: For Our Makers

Onboarding Standards

  • Makers must provide examples of their work and demonstrate their process.

  • Originals must be handmade, sustainable and unique, avoiding mass-purchased, imported or copied components.

  • Reproductions of original work require artist approval and must adhere to sustainability standards.

Product Standards

  • Only handmade or hand-finished products are accepted as originals.

  • Materials must be high-quality, sustainable and ethically sourced.

  • Plastic and mass-produced components are generally not accepted.

  • Limited editions or curated runs are preferred for reproductions.

Quality Review & Ongoing Partnership

  • Products are periodically reviewed to ensure they continue to meet craftsmanship, sustainability and ethical standards.

  • Feedback may be provided, but only products meeting our criteria are sold under the Just Makers brand.

Brand Integrity

  • All product listings, marketing and displays must accurately represent the item and differentiate between originals and reproductions.

  • Storytelling about the maker, technique, inspiration and sustainable practices is essential.
