Oliver Raw is a self-taught British-Swedish printmaker and illustrator whose work combines bold linocut prints with expressive editorial and picture book illustrations. His creative journey began after leaving England at 18, when he first moved to Paris before travelling further east. Over the years he has lived in or spent significant time in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, China and Thailand.

Now living a somewhat nomadic life, Oliver divides his time between his family in Yorkshire and extended periods in Europe and beyond. Alongside his visual art, he also pursues travel writing and photography, bringing a keen eye for detail and storytelling to all he creates.

Oliver’s linocut prints are made using a traditional printmaking technique where an image is carved into a linoleum surface, leaving the raised areas to be inked. Often working with multiple blocks and layers of oil-based inks, he prints on high-quality paper to achieve rich, striking designs. Each piece is individually signed and numbered, reflecting both the skill and the personal craftsmanship involved in the process.
