Just Makers is a Yorkshire-based business built around a simple belief: how something is made and who makes it matters.
We work with a carefully chosen group of independent artists whose work shows skill and originality. Nothing we sell is mass produced, and everything has a real person behind it.
Most of the artists we work with are based in Yorkshire, alongside a small number from further afield whose work we're proud to share. We choose every piece for its quality, craftsmanship and the knowledge that it has been made to last.
Founded in 2016 by Deborah de Brunner, Just Makers is now owned and run by Helen, supported by a small, knowledgeable and friendly team. Today, we're based in the heart of Skipton, where our gallery and shop showcases the work of more than 80 independent artists alongside our online store.
Alongside the gallery and online store, we run a programme of artist-led workshops and events where people can learn directly from the artists behind the work. Some visitors come to discover a new skill; others simply enjoy understanding more about the processes and materials involved.
At our core, Just Makers is about connecting people with well made work from exceptional independent artists.
If you enjoy knowing where things come from, who made them and why they've been made the way they have, you'll feel right at home here.
