Born and bred in Yorkshire, John Harrison is a trained graphic designer whose illustrative style is deeply influenced by a childhood spent poring over beloved books and comics, from Rupert the Bear and Swallows and Amazons to Just William and a steady stream of comics from both sides of the Atlantic.
These formative years shaped a distinctive style: bold ink line drawings brought to life with expressive watercolour washes that draw the viewer’s eye and invite closer exploration.
Inspired by the dramatic beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, the rugged coastline, the Lake District, and the unique character of cities, towns, and villages, each of John's pieces capture more than a place, they capture a mood and moment.
