Just Makers is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We strive to ensure that everyone has a positive experience exploring the unique crafts and stories of Yorkshire artisans.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help us create an inclusive experience for all visitors, including those using assistive technologies.

What we’ve done to improve accessibility:

  • Added descriptive alt text for meaningful images

  • Designed our site for keyboard navigation

  • Used clear headings and readable fonts

  • Ensured high contrast between text and background

  • Tested compatibility with popular screen readers

Areas we are working to improve:

While we have made many improvements, some parts of the site may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We are continually working to enhance these areas.
