Rebecca Carr is a contemporary artist working across painting and mixed media. Inspired by landscape, still life and the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, her work explores colour, line and composition through an expressive, intuitive approach.

After studying Art Foundation at Northbrook College in West Sussex, Rebecca completed a degree in Fine Art Installation at the University of Derby before undertaking postgraduate study at Lancaster University and Leeds Beckett University. She now works from Yorkshire, creating original paintings, limited edition prints and a small number of commissioned pieces.

Line plays an important role in Rebecca's work, offering new ways of interpreting familiar landscapes and everyday objects. While rooted in observation, her paintings often move beyond direct representation, balancing structure with expressive mark making and colour.

Whether creating a small painting or a larger statement piece, Rebecca considers how each work will live within a space, producing paintings that are intended to be collected and enjoyed for years to come.
