Jane Gales

Jane Gales is a Yorkshire designer and illustrator whose detailed artwork celebrates the county's iconic landscapes, historic towns and cities. Combining intricate architectural line drawings with bold colour and pattern, she creates distinctive limited edition prints that capture the character and charm of the places people know and love.

Jane studied Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds Arts University, graduating with a First Class Honours degree before working in both the UK design industry and New York's fashion industry. She later spent ten years living and travelling throughout the Middle East and Far East before returning to her native Yorkshire to establish her own creative business.

Inspired by Yorkshire's rich heritage, beautiful scenery and her family's love of cycling, Jane sees the world through pattern, colour and detail. Every illustration begins with careful observation before developing into a vibrant composition that combines architectural precision with a contemporary graphic style.

Alongside her signed limited edition prints, Jane's distinctive illustrations feature across a range of beautifully designed greeting cards.
