Alison Wren is a ceramicist based on the outskirts of Sheffield, where she works from her peaceful garden studio. She creates elegant, wheel-thrown stoneware with a focus on simple, timeless forms and a soft, natural colour palette.

Alison’s work is grounded in a love of nature, honest materials, and thoughtful design. She's frequently inspired by the quiet beauty of the landscape, from the curve of a hill to the colours found in the sand, sea, and sky, 

Each of Alison's pieces are crafted with care, often using just one glaze to let the form take centre stage. Her palette includes tones like slate, pebble and sand, paired with a variety of clays for subtle texture and depth. Alison creates small batches of tableware as well as one-off decorative forms such as bottle vases and bowls, spending time refining the balance and proportions of each piece.

Alison studied Ceramic Design at Staffordshire University and has worked alongside studio potters in Dorset and Sheffield. Her work has gained recognition from Michelin-starred chefs, and continues to reflect her belief that good craftsmanship is all about care, skill, and quiet attention to detail.
