Megan Carter

Based in West Yorkshire, Megan Carter is a surface pattern designer whose work combines bold, stylised florals with a love of design history. Inspired by the natural world and classic decorative movements such as Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and the Wiener Werkstätte, Megan reimagines traditional motifs with a contemporary, joyful touch.

After two decades designing greetings cards for leading UK brands, Megan now works independently, creating distinctive patterns and hand-printed textiles from her studio. Her designs balance heritage and modernity, with each piece reflecting her passion for craftsmanship and sustainability.

Using eco-friendly inks and organic fabrics, Megan ensures her products are thoughtfully made, as well as beautiful.
Megan’s work includes hand-printed textiles, cards and paper goods, all produced in collaboration with skilled local makers and UK-based sustainable printers. Her creations bring together pattern, colour and artistry to bring colourful design to everyday life.
