Katie Roe Studio

Katie Roe is the founder of Katie Roe Studio, where she creates beautiful leather accessories by hand, combining traditional craftsmanship with a fresh, modern aesthetic.

Originally from Leeds, Katie spent over a decade in New York working as a womenswear designer for brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, GAP, and J.Crew before returning home to raise her family. It was Katie's passion for art and design as well as a desire to create meaningful and sustainable products that led her to pivot from fashion to leatherwork.

Now based in Meanwood, Leeds, Katie balances her time between her home studio and lecturing in Fashion Design at Leeds Arts University.

Katie also runs regular workshops with us, sharing her skills in traditional leatherwork. She finds real joy in helping someone create something lasting, watching them leave the workshop with a finished piece they’re truly proud of.
