Based in York, Merv is a Yorkshire artist with a wonderful knack for making people smile. Best known for his whimsical sheep paintings, each of Merv’s characters tells its own playful story, usually with a clever pun or nod to pop culture. Merv's work is full of humour, capturing life’s lighter and more joyful moments in the quirkiest of ways.

But it’s not all about sheep (though we love those the most). Merv also creates bold, expressive abstract and figurative pieces, exploring human emotions and interactions with the same touch of cheeky curiosity.
