Annie Bousfield is a contemporary artist based in Easingwold, North Yorkshire. Alongside a career in nursing and podiatry, she developed a lifelong passion for painting, creating work inspired by the landscapes and countryside that surround her.

Working primarily in acrylics, inks and mixed media, Annie is best known for her semi-abstract landscapes. Through layered colour, expressive mark making and textured surfaces, she creates paintings that capture the atmosphere and changing character of the landscape. While landscapes remain her main focus, Annie also enjoys exploring a variety of other subjects.

Time spent outdoors is at the heart of Annie's creative practice. The countryside provides both inspiration and a sense of connection, with painting becoming a way of bringing those experiences home and sharing them through her work.

Many of Annie's paintings are presented in handmade wooden frames, individually crafted by her husband to complement each piece and complete the finished artwork.
