Wold Pottery

Wold Pottery, nestled in the historic town of Loftus, North Yorkshire, was originally established by the late Aidan Dixon. The original studio near Beverley became a cornerstone of traditional British ceramics.
In 1973, Jill Christie joined as an apprentice, mastering the art of fine throwing and glazing under Dixon's mentorship. Over the years, Jill has continued the legacy, infusing her own creativity into the craft while preserving the studio's foundational techniques.
Today, Wold Pottery offers a diverse range of handcrafted ceramics that all reflect the natural beauty and textures of the North York Moors. Jill's work is characterized by its earthy glazes and timeless forms, making each piece a unique testament to traditional craftsmanship and artistic expression.
