Learn the traditional techniques of patchwork and quilting in this full-day workshop with experienced quilter Jacqueline of Bee-Spoke Quilts. Working in a small group, you'll make a quilt from start to finish while learning the key stages of the quilting process.
The workshop is suitable for beginners with basic sewing machine experience. By the end of the day, you'll have completed a small quilt to take home, together with the skills and confidence to continue quilting independently.

- Layering a quilt
- Quilting the layers together
- Binding a quilt
- Labelling a finished quilt
Who is it for?
This workshop is designed for beginners. You should be confident threading your sewing machine, winding and fitting a bobbin, and sewing in a straight line.
What to bring
- Your own sewing machine
- A full equipment list will be sent after booking
Rotary cutters, cutting mats and irons are provided. Group sizes are kept small to ensure plenty of individual support throughout the day.

Where are Workshops Held?
Unless otherwise stated, our workshops take place in the spacious, light-filled gallery room on the first floor of Just Makers in Craven Court, Skipton.
Please note that the workshop room is accessed via one flight of stairs. Toilet facilities are available on site.
What Do I Bring?
Just bring yourselves!
All materials will be provided unless we let you know otherwise.
We’ll have refreshments ready for you on arrival. If your workshop runs all day, please note that lunch isn’t provided. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit the various tea rooms and coffee shops very close by.
If your workshop is likely to get a bit messy, we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting creative in!
Car Parking
Car parks are available very close to Craven Court. The closest car park is High Street Car park (BD23 1ED) and we are a 5 minute walk.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes plans change, and we’ll always do our best to be fair.
Please note the following terms for workshop cancellations:
- Cancellations made one calendar month or more before the workshop: You’ll receive a full refund.
- Between one month and 14 days before the workshop: We’ll issue a credit note for the full amount which you can use towards a future workshop.
- Cancellations less than 14 days in advance: We’ll do our best to fill your spot. If we’re able to, we’ll offer a transfer or credit note towards another workshop. If not, we’re sorry but we can’t offer a refund.
Gift vouchers
If you booked using a gift voucher, please note that we’re unable to offer cash refunds. However we’ll follow the same cancellation terms and issue a credit note where applicable.
If we cancel
If we ever need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ll give you as much notice as possible and offer a full refund. Sadly we can’t accept responsibility for travel or other costs you may have incurred.
