Paul Mirfin is a contemporary oil painter whose creative journey has been shaped by two passions: music and the railway. As frontman of The Paul Mirfin Band, he toured internationally and won multiple awards, while his long career in the railway industry took him across the UK, inspiring a deep appreciation for the changing landscapes along the tracks.

These experiences now infuse his paintings, which often capture the movement, atmosphere and quiet beauty of the British countryside and industrial scenes. Blending realism with impressionistic touches, his work invites viewers to share in the sense of discovery he felt while travelling.

Having studied fine art and dedicated himself to painting full-time, Paul’s expressive brushwork and vibrant use of colour have earned him recognition across the UK and beyond – including a commission to paint a landscape for King Charles III on his 75th birthday which is now inside Clarence House.

Through his art, Paul continues to celebrate the spirit of the British landscape, as well as exploring other subjects such as portraits, still life and Batman!
