Just Makers is a Yorkshire based business built around a simple belief: how something is made and who makes it matters.
We work with a carefully chosen group of independent artists whose work shows originality, skill and care. Nothing we sell is mass produced and everything has a real person behind it.
Most of the artists we work with are based in Yorkshire, alongside a small number from further afield whose work we’re proud to share. We choose pieces for their quality, craftsmanship and the knowledge they were made to last.
Just Makers was founded in 2016 by Deborah de Brunner and is now run by Helen, supported by a small, knowledgeable and friendly team.
Alongside the shop and online store, we run a programme of artist led workshops and events where customers can learn directly from the people behind the work. Some visitors come to discover a new skill, others simply enjoy understanding more about the process and materials involved.
At our core, Just Makers is about connecting people with well made work from independent artists.
