Spinning with Agnis Smallwood 3 September
NEW Drop Spindle Spinning Workshop
Learn to spin with Agnis Smallwood. Throughout this day workshop you will use natural fibres in a range of different colours allowing you to design and create your own hand spun yarn. You will have the opportunity to create your own unique colour palette, allowing you to explore colour and understand how different colours work together when combined. This workshop is perfect for those who love yarn and love the idea of being able to introduce their own bespoke spun elements into their knitting or weaving projects. You will learn how to spin on a drop spindle as well as how to use the Andean plying method to ply your spun yarn together.
This workshop is aimed at beginners with no previous spinning experience and will focus on learning the skills and techniques needed to spin on a spin drop spindle as well as ply your spun yarn together. Some dexterity is needed for this workshop. You will leave this class with the skills and knowledge for you to continue this new craft at home. You will also leave with some spun yarn on this beginners workshop but not enough for your next large knitting project!
